It was a fairly brisk winter morning, and we had gone out early so he could still get to play in his football match later. We saw a Heron, a Dipper, and just about gave up hope when, all of sudden….no sooner had he said he didn’t think we would see one, there, right in front of us on a twig about eye to eye with us over the river, was a Kingfisher. I managed to snap a really fast photo on my big camera, the mobile phone footage just about caught a streak of blue. We then had renewed determination, and reassurance that today we had a chance of hime getting a first ever Kingfisher photo.
