In my spare time I try to take photos of our amazing local wildlife in New Mills, Peak District, Derbyshire, England. Here in the North of England, it is often cold, damp overcast and gloomy, with rare moments of sunshine.

If you stop, quietly, and listen, you can hear all sorts of wildlife around you, that many people don’t notice. The tricky thing is to then try to see it. Even harder to get it on camera.

Quite a few local people ask to see my photos but don’t use Instagram or social media, so I have put this website together so you can see the photos without the risk of doom scrolling and spiralling inescapable algorythms in Instagram.

I am trying to do updates to this website by adding photos to the seasonal galleries, eg Winter (when we started the website), Spring, (and later in the year Summer and Autumn). It is a learning curve!

This website is just about sharing local nature. No other motivation.
