Kingfisher flying up the waterfall
It took me years of tryig before I got this, and quite a bit of luck...
This is where she perched after the waterfall
Dipper above the waterfall
i love this. One of my absolute favourites. Peering over the edge, into thte warm inviting light, curious, but a bit hesitant.
The beautiful fallen tree
Heron above Torrs Hydro Waterfall
Dipper flying away from a waterfall curtain
Heron ascending Torrs Hydro Waterfall. Patience pays off.
The light on the eye
"Rubbish for Kingfishers"
Dipper and a Monet reflection
Two Dippers fighting and flying off
Dippers fighting. The were chasing each other and then smashing each other into the water in a chaotic splash crash landing.
This Kingfisher was suddenly right there in front of me, I very quickly snapped the photo and it flew off. Not sharp, but I love the composition.
(I think ithis one only works on desktop site, not on mobile). Goosanders oblivious to the manic Dipper splashing and Kingfisher flashing past
A rather splendid rotund Dipper
Right on the edge of the Torrs Hydro Waterfall
Grey Wagtail, reading all about the history of Torr Vale Mill, the UK's longest serving Cotton Mill (1780s to 2000). Now home to the excellent Torr Vale Tap, and the superb Cheese Wheel
I have just noticed how the Dipper has somehow framed his reflection, no idea what that is, must be a sign or notice board of some sort
They are very flouncy things aren't they, the Grey Wagtail in flight.
Fledgling Sleepy Dipper
Feeeed Meeee !!!
Hey!!! Feed Me!!
"Is this the right train line?"
